Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains how personal information is used on oksanapleshkan.com. It covers this website, its contact form and optional analytics.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Oksana Pleshkan is the controller responsible for the personal information processed for this website. For questions or privacy requests, email oksana1.1pleshkan@gmail.com.
2. Contact enquiries
If you send a message, I receive the name, email address and message you provide. The contact form uses Formspree to process and deliver your enquiry. Technical information such as your IP address and browser information may also be processed by the service for delivery, security and spam prevention. Email correspondence is handled through my email provider, Google/Gmail. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.
I use your information to respond, discuss your project and manage our correspondence. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) for project enquiries, or my legitimate interest in responding to other correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). Information is not used to subscribe you to marketing.
3. Optional Google Analytics
Only if you select Allow Analytics, this website loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to help me understand website traffic and improve the website. It can process pages and page addresses visited, referral information, interactions, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers. These identifiers can distinguish browsers and visits; analytics is not a promise of complete anonymity. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.
The legal basis for this optional processing and the use of analytics cookies is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) and applicable ePrivacy rules). The website disables Google signals and advertising personalisation in its analytics configuration. Your contact-form fields are not intentionally sent to Analytics. Avoid putting personal details in page URLs.
Before you allow analytics, and after you reject it, this website does not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics measurements. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the website or sending an enquiry.
4. Cookies and your choice
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| services-analytics-consent-v1 | Local storage on your device recording Allow or Reject and its expiry. Used only to remember your privacy preference. | The choice is honoured for 180 days (about six months), then renewed. An expired record is removed or replaced when you next visit. |
| _ga and _ga_* | Optional Google Analytics cookies distinguishing browsers and maintaining visit information. | Configured to expire within the remaining consent period, up to 180 days, without extending expiry on each page visit. Browser restrictions can shorten this. |
You can at any time, including withdrawing consent. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies set by this website. It does not undo processing that took place lawfully before withdrawal or automatically delete information already held by Google. Contact me about a deletion request.
Your choice applies to this browser and website origin. Clearing site storage, using a different browser/device or private browsing can make the banner appear again. If JavaScript is disabled, Analytics does not load; if browser storage is unavailable, your choice may not persist between pages.
5. Hosting and external resources
The website is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub processes technical request information, including IP addresses, for hosting and security. The main website also retrieves fonts from Google Fonts and slider files from jsDelivr. Loading these resources exposes technical request information such as your IP address, browser details and potentially the referring page to their providers. These connections are separate from optional Google Analytics and are not controlled by the analytics buttons.
The purpose is delivering, displaying and protecting the website; the legal basis for personal-data processing for these purposes is my legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)). External links, such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Behance, take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Who receives information and international processing
Recipients include me and the providers needed for the purposes above: Formspree for form delivery, Google for email and optional analytics, GitHub for hosting, and the Google Fonts and jsDelivr providers for external resources. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
These providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. The applicable locations and safeguards depend on the provider and service, and may include adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Their policies explain their arrangements; you can contact me for further information about the safeguards applicable to your information.

7. How long information is kept
Privacy choices and analytics cookies have the durations shown above. Information already collected in Analytics is subject to the property’s data-retention settings and Google’s policies. GA4 offers 2 or 14 months for user-level and event-level data in standard properties; this limit does not apply to standard aggregated reports. The current property setting is not stated here because it has not been verified.
Enquiry correspondence is kept while needed to respond and manage a potential or ongoing project. It may be retained longer where necessary for legal obligations or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Retention depends on whether the enquiry leads to a project and on the applicable obligations. Hosting logs and copies held by service providers are subject to their retention arrangements. Contact me if you need the retention information applicable to your enquiry.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data-protection law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact oksana1.1pleshkan@gmail.com. I may need proportionate information to verify your identity and identify the relevant data; I normally respond within one month.
You can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or the supervisory authority in the EEA country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.
9. Providing information and automated decisions
Using analytics is optional. The name, email and message fields are required only if you choose to send the contact form; without sufficient contact information I may be unable to respond. This website does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Updates
This policy may change when the website or its processing changes. The update date is shown above. A materially different analytics purpose will require a new consent request.
